FINAL WEEK PLUS ONE!

Not the new engine yet, as Kent supplied the wrong camshaft for our MK1 head. The cam diameter is different between Citroen & Peugeot versions apparently. Also the MK1 manifold won't fit a MK2, so we will be running the test with a standard MK2 catalyst and Mk1 exhaust.

The old engine was dropped back in for the test, but the ECU wouldn't fire up as the ignition key chip had been lost when stripping the car. Plan B could have been to unlock the ECU, but plan C was to press on with the OMEX installation. This has added 3 days work now rather than after the shakedown, but needed to be done.

Here is the car close to completion with the new OMEX loom fitted and the fuel system plumbed in. While in the garage it seems to have grown some SPOOX stickers! Mapping starts tonight, with an initial setting ready for testing. With SPOOX on Rally duty this weekend, it looks like a trip to Bruntingthorpe Monday for an hour or so and then Mallory Wednesday.
